WebI ordered a couple bare root shrubs (super cheap) that sounded interesting. To kill the grass I had an arborist drop off a load of wood chips, it was free but they give you a LOT of chips. I layed those over some cardboard on my grass in the fall though I think you can do this any time and can even just do cardboard though it will be uglier.
