WebI'm on my third IUD (copper, Mirena, copper). I pulled out my first copper IUD while using a Diva Cup after about a year. My strings were pinched while I was removing the cup and the IUD followed. My Dr told me that's how it usually happens and it's not suction like most people assume. I didn't need to use my cup with my Mirena.
